Camheroes opens its API and presents new photo banner generator (english)
May 22, 2009
Camheroes (www.camheroes.com) the unique online diary is pleased to announce today the opening of their API for third party developer.

Camheroes exists for more than four successful months now. Until now our users only could use their iPhone or Camheroes's webinterface to upload new pictures. It's time for a change now: the opening of Camheroe's API allows developers to interact with Camheroes website programmatically. External developers are now able to develop third party software for our online platform. Based on a very simple and clean design it's very easy to develop an application or a widget for uploading new stuff.

“All kind of barriers for third party developers are dispose of once and for all, new programs round our API can emerge now“ says Frank Karlitschek, CO Manager of Camheroes. “We are very excited about new implementations and coming innovations“, he added.
Specifications can be obtained on www.camheroes.com/api.

Furthermore the operators are also proud to present the new photo banner generator to a wider audience. The new developed generator allows every user to create individual Camheroes banner and to embed them into their homepages or blogs. Generated by the last ten uploaded pictures or chosen by user's favorite photos, fancy effects such as magnets or drawing pings – there are no limits for the users and their fantasy. Automatically updated banners with the newest publicated pictures is as self-evident.

About Camheroes:
Camheroes is completely free, users can set up profile pages and invite family members and friends to also set up profile pages. Then they have two ways to post photos in the portal - from their computer at home, or the office. Or from their mobile phones, wherever they are at the time - having lunch with an old friend, in the night club, or in a football stadium. Camheroes enables people to share their everyday lifes with their family and friends - even when they are far away from each other. It's a portal for sharing your everyday, funny or interesting photos with family and friends.
When photos are posted, they land on the home page of Camheroes where the latest post is displayed at the top with older photos of other users below. The photo gets also displayed on user's profile page (or personal photo diary as it's called on Camheroes). Every user gets his own domain. For instance, John will get the domain john.camheroes.com. And there is no limit to the number of photos users may post. Development and operational costs will be covered by selling advertising space on the site.
Camheroes was co-developed by two Stuttgart-based companies softSCIENCE GmbH (www.soft-science.de) and h i v e 01 gmbh (hive01.com). It is co-managed by Frank Karlitschek, Timo Hallek and Sven Weber.
